Support public art in Grand Marais by attending the Art ‘Round Town opening at the Johnson Heritage Post on Feb. 14th.
People like to spend time walking and biking where it is inviting and pleasant to do so. Public art creates a great public space!
Join us for a family night at the Y, with free dinner, fun hands-on activity, and free childcare for the little ones! All families are welcome – not necessary to be a member of the YMCA, all Cook County families are invited.

Planning Thru Play Activity
Free Childcare (if needed)
Dinner will be provided (Subway and such), followed by the activity ‘Planning Thru Play.’ Just bring your family and your experiences of walking and biking in Cook County.
Please RSVP as seating is limited. You may RSVP on Facebook, email email@example.com, or call 218-387-2330 x110, by Monday, January 20th. Also let us know the # of people that will be attending for your family (so we can plan for dinner).
Thank you to the Cook County Community YMCA for providing a great space for this event!
Note: Kid’s Club will be open to children ages 4 months to grade 5 during the event for families participating. The hands-on activity includes small objects that may not be suitable for young children, so we encourage parents to either help their children or bring them to Kid’s Club if they prefer.
We’ve added something special to this month’s Second Sunday Funday at Birch Grove School on January 12th. Moving Matters will be offering a hands-on activity called “Planning Thru Play.”
At 4:30 pm, join us for conversation and hands-on fun, followed by stone hearth pizza dinner. Moving Matters will provide pizza dinner for participants. Just bring your experiences with walking and biking in Cook County and a friend. All ages are welcome!
Seating is limited. RSVP on the Facebook event page or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday Jan. 10 to ensure your spot. Make an afternoon of it: starting at 3:30 there will be other indoor activities such as Card Making, Games, Zumba, and Open Gym.
